In rain, sometimes heavy downpours, we entered Canada. The following picture was taken at Calais, ME just before we entered Canada.
After a few stops for food and cofee, we continued to Fundy National Park. We rented a cabin for two days inside the park.
On this dreary day, there were a couple of animals outside the cabin quietly foraging, one of which is an American Red Squirrel.
Another one is a rabbit. This one had a humongous tick lodged just above its right eye. The tick seemed to about to burst with all the blood it sucked from the poor rabbit -- it must have gorged itself silly.
We went to the town of Alma to get smoked salmon and boiled lobster for dinner. We stopped at the harbor to take a few pictures. This day was very cloudy, as was the next day, but I took a picture from the same location anyway to show the dramatic effects of the famous Tides of the Bay of Fundy (to best see the tidal effects, move the mouse over each image to see another one taken at low tide, then click on the links below it to see a high-resolution image of each).
