A relatively short drive took us from Quebec City to Montreal, our last big city stop and where we would spend our last day in Canada. Montreal definitely has the “big city” feel, but it still has its charm, especially in old town, where we walked around on this sunny day.
One of the oldest chapel in Montreal, the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel (chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, "Our Lady of Good Help").
Bonsecours Market, a heritage building and public market in old town Montreal.
Some of the vendor signs are very charming too.
The biggest attraction in the city is undoubtedly the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. The inside of the church is copiously decorated and the splendors and intricacies will take one’s breath away.
he stained glass panels depicting stories from the Bible, and sculptures of saints are found inside the church.
Outside it is grand too.
At night, it looks even more magnificent.
