Another rainy day. Here comes another change in our schedule — we would skip Prince Edward Island. It is a pity that the weather has been bad (although we had as much fun as we could). We readjusted our schedule such that on heavy rainy days we would drive as much as we could, possibly to a location where it was not raining. When we went through Moncton, we stopped briefly to watch the Tidal Bore coming up the Petitcodiac River.
Our changed plan sort of worked out on this day — when we arrived in Halifax, at least it was not raining (but it was still cloudy).
After checking into our hotel we went to the Citadel and there were some actors doing reenactment drills.
We walked about the city and harbor, the colorful mural of Nova Scotian Crystal gave a little sparkle on this dreary day, and Peggy's Cove Lighthouse provided a couple of iconic Nova Scotia images.
We eventually retreated indoors on this bleak day, to Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Needless to say, there were many model boats and ships in display, and because of Halifax's tie to the Titanic, there were also exhibits and replicas of it as well.
