San Francisco - First Day
We arrived in San Francisco on a Saturday. Very fortunate for us, our flight landed early, and when we got to our hotel near Fisherman's Wharf, there was still daylight on this shortened late-autumn day. Quickly we walked to Fisherman's Wharf. This scene was all too familiar to us, as we were here just last year and the year before. It is almost our annual ritual to visit this city by the bay now.

The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and everything else were lit by the golden rays of the setting sun. This was a brief stop, but quite a surprising bonus (as we expected to arrive after dark).
