Smith Oaks

Back from Bolivar, I continued the birding walk with the group. The after arrival of migrants is just as spectacular, with feathered treasures dropping from the sky all the time.

Even a field mouse (meadow vole) came out to join the spectacle. We even saw an armadillo, but I did not get a good picture of it.

There is a heron rookery at Smith Oaks. Many herons, egrets, spoonbills and cormorants are nesting there.
