Bolivar Peninsular
At noon I went to the Bolivar Peninsular to see shore birds. There were many of them -- Whimbrels, Sandpipers, American Avocets, and there were a lot of terns, gulls and pelicans too, with an occasional Common Nighthawk flying by. Unfortunately at midday the light was harsh and most birds were far, so I did not get as many good pictures as I had hoped. (Click on each image to see the high-resolution version)
