Columbia River Gorge

Again we were driving along the Columbia River Gorge, just like we did 10 years ago and 3 years ago. This time we were switching camp from Portland to Skamania County, Washington.

Our first stop was at Portland Women's Forum overlook, a rather odd name for a scenic viewpoint. The Vista House was in view from here, but the light was not favorable at this time.

Next, we made a stop at the Vista House itself, where there was expansive view of the mighty Columbia River in both directions.

Latourell Falls was the first waterfall we stopped at. We had planned to stop at every waterfall along the way, but, as always, we lingered too long at the first one, and before long it was lunch time already.

We backtracked to Troutdale for lunch.

We ventured out again in the afternoon to Multnomah Falls, the most impressive of all the waterfalls in the gorge, and this would be my fourth visit to this waterfall in as many visits to Portland.
