Seattle Center and Chihuly Garden

Seattle Center is another place of interest in this charming city. It is, of course, where the famous Space Needle is, but there are also otehr attractions.

But, first, let's take a few pictures of the Space Needle itself. However, I never went to the top of it (I will save that for another trip).

There were totem poles showing Seattle's Native American heritage (it is, after all, named after Chief Seattle).

The EMP Museum is another tourist attraction, though I also did not go in.

It was here I took pictures of a Glaucous-winged Gull, a common gull in this part of the country, but a new bird for me (my only new bird on this trip).

The most colorful attraction is the Chihuly Garden and Glass. I was initially reluctant to go in for its rather steep entrance fee, but after seeing the glassworks, I was glad that I went in at least once (and probably also at most once).
